I'm a little late to the party with these guys. I finally checked them out looking for something to satiate me while waiting for the new Blood Ceremony album, and wow, this shit is fantastic. They must have be one of the first bands of the occult rock revival of the 2000's.

I dunno, even if Selim hadn't killed himself and they had decided to do a comeback at a later point chances are it would have just been a mediocre attempt at reaching their former glory. Too many bands have soiled their legacy with a half assed comeback attempt.

Amazing band, The Time of No Time Evermore is one of the albums I'll never grow tired of. I like the other releases a lot as well but that album is just untouchable. Not seeing them live is one of the biggest regrets I have music wise.

Another interesting band for those looking for a sound similar to TDB: Slægt from Denmark. Their latest album "Domus Mysterium" has a lot to enjoy for fans of stuff like TDB. suiciders don't. only it wasn't suicide... he had an epiphany then was possessed by unholy spirit and satan gently took his soul, he descended into deeper hells. Reign. In. Chaos... 11/33 you can say he was addicted to certain substances but you can't dismiss he was talking with a fucking satan! saints were using as well certain substances to contact god, its certain proof of diabolical revelation.

Tabula Rasa is good for what it is, an unfinished record. But obviously it isn't nearly as good as the other releases. Would have been great to hear it in a finalized form, I'm sure it would have been excellent.

True, and it definitely takes a bit to get into and fully appreciate what is there. Which basically was my point, because I think many people don't. Wondering every time about the potential greatness of a full production and actual, real drums... Anyway, at least we got a finished "Earth Air Spirit Water Fire". Makes more than up for it.

I had the same, could not get into it.. yet, i got to see them live in that time. Months later i started to appreciate them more and more, but now it's too late to see them again, with full attention sadly.

Kinda similar for me - I got into their music, but it was nothing I could call "real sympathy"; just, the psychedelic sound of The Time of No Time Evermore interested me. The rest of discography was just nothing as good. But lately, I feel TToNTE much more, and other albums become also more interesting. / By the way, if you want to see them "a bit" live, also get to know great debuting project, I recommend you Dool - it has similar sound, and familiar person in crew. :')

This is very weird. Some years ago I was really excited by the music, and was kind of put off, yet fascinated by the rituals they did. Selim was an interesting and very bright guy. Even though I am not really a fan of Satanism, whether it be theistic, non-theistic, LaVeyan, etc. his thoughts about the world, the music, and the metaphysical side of his beliefs intrigued me. Now I'm returning to their music, more openminded than ever, and now I see he is not around anymore. Damn.
