Esse álbum consegue ser cru e caótico pra caralho e ainda ser bastante progressivo, acho genuinamente foda

For anyone wanting more Dimitri screaming: Dimitri, Kurt ballou, and others just did a sick cover of Botch's "To Our Friends in the Great White North"

This album has been one of my favorite musical albums ever since its release, and easily still my favorite DEP album. Everything after Miss Machine I listen to on occasion, but this is the stuff I've listened to on repeat over the years. Especially the LP. The production on this is heavy, and tonally awesome. IMO they haven't come close musically, or in other mixes to this album.

"The people that are saying that this is brilliant but its their worst release are completly insane. Go home, Johhny come latelys. Go the fuck home." oh god, please leave your "older fans are truer fans" attitude off the internet. Ire Works is clearly their best album, with this being second.

So fucking amazing, but I wouldn't be as interested in Dillinger if they had just kept releasing the same album. I mean, Converge has kept changing, and Botch just broke up before they could keep releasing the same thing. I love them all, but I especially love Dillinger for varying their sound.

anyone who likes this should check out "Transfer Trachea Vibrations From Point: False Omniscient" by The End. It's one of the closest things to this album i've found. and that's a huge compliment.

They kind of changed completely after this, so its not even really worth comparing. This does what it does so brilliantly, but none of the other albums are trying to replicate it. Miss Machine onwards sees the band experimenting with their signature techniques more subtly within the bounds of conventional song structures, rather than the pure mathcore assault presented here.
