Biography
The Doctor’s Note is a new band of four young people from Dilbeek, Belgium and surroundings. They surprise you with a mix of abstract chaos and repetitive lucidity mingled with a little bit of indie and finished with a touch of experimental rock.
After that drummer Sam Van Sompel responded to the advertisement that guitarist Samuel Debruyn put online, it didn’t take long before Samuel Debruyn convinced his class mates Eline Vanermen (vocals/keyboard/saxophone) and Bregt Van De Perre (bass/backing vocals/keyboard) to start a new band. Their tastes in music matched perfectly.
The first rehearsal was on June 29th 2010. Afterwards everybody began to work out new ideas that were transformed into the first songs.
Meanwhile the band was looking for a name. Friends and (would-be) fans could submit suggestions and also the band members themselves were brainstorming. They selected The Doctor’s Note from a list of fifty names. The atmosphere that his name evokes matches very well with the atmosphere of the music.
The first song is already finished, a first record (rehearsal take) is online and the first concert would be in January 2011. See you there!
