There are 2 bands with the name "The Drakes"
One was a rock band from Denton, Texas. They released one album Buffalo in 2009.

The other is a rock band from Tucson. The Drakes put out two albums - 1995's The Drakes and 1996's Serve It Up - while building a loyal following in Arizona's desert rock scene, which also included the Sidewinders (Sand Rubies), Green on Red, Gin Blossoms, Refreshments and Dead Hot Workshop.
Three of the original drakes - singer-keyboardist Tom Stauffer, guitarist Gene Ruley and drummer Chris Martin - returned in 2005 as the New Drakes, to great acclaim at the Club Congress 20th birthday festival, and self-released the Staircase Wit album in 2006.
