Biography
The Fake Tapes are an indie rock band from Prague, Czech Republic. They started playing in 2006 as Big Cheese, but decided to change name to „The Fake Tapes“ one year later. Also the members of the band were changing a lot. Today it's Adam Piaf as a singer, Adam LittleRoot as a guitarist, Csaba as a bassguitarist and Chico as a drummer. The lyrics and the music is mostly from Adam Piaf, some of the lyrics are from the ex-drummer Kaki. Even all the members are about 20 years old, they all have a big skill with their instruments and also lot of experiences on the stage.
Their shows are full of emotions, energy and feelings. They switch slow pop-rock ballads with dirty fast punk songs. The singer Adam gives all of his energy and emotions into the every gig, doesn't matter on the situation. The guitarist Adam LittleRoot makes everybody jump and dance. The bassguitarist Csaba is maybe not moving much, but his style of playing is definitely part of the band. And in the end the drummer Chico with his energic, wild style of playing with lot of emotions and feelings. Well just four young talented musicians with lot of inspiration and ideas.
They had lot of gigs in Czech Republic with bands like The Prostitutes, Roe-Deer, The bianca Story and others. Shows in other states, festivals and stuff like that. (for example Planet Festival)
The Fake Tapes are going to release their debut album this autumn.
