people dont know what to listen to from this band.... tom verlaine (and most of the top tracks here) sucks next to: endless cigarette, gabriel's wings, fire music--to name a few. still some good ones in there "colour me grey" "game show" "prog one" "furthest from the sun" anyway, maybe im crazy, but dont trust magic happens to be their far and away best (i feel the opposite to be the case). instead, tell em we're surfin and furthest from the sun. just a huge fan... maybe i'm on to somethin maybe not

By far and away the most under-rated British band of their time. Saw them more times than was healthy - although sixteen is clearly bonkers, Eightholedocs - and they never once let me down. Which is more than can be said for a lot of other bands, both before and since. Miles "Size Of A Cow" Hunt, I'm looking at you...

saw the cat a massive 16 times. they were fantastic - unfortunately they just werent cool enough for the then relevant NME and therefore never went huge. nice bunch of blokes as well.
