Biography

There are three known bands with this name.

1)A punk band from St. Louis, MO that released two tracks on the Test Patterns compilation LP in 1981. Also had their own record and a cassette. They were arguably the most successful St. Louis band of the time and drew from ska and rockabilly influences. Most of the band had previously been in The Dinosaurs, who put out a single in 1979.

2)The UK based Felons (Al, Alex, Andy, Dave and Matt) came together less than three years ago, and yet The Felons (formerly known as The Fray, until a certain major label got upset) have been making waves in the North East of England ever since. They've already produced a plethora of stomping hits that feature everything from intricate picking to boisterous strumming, tranquil harmonica to rip-roaring drums.

This unique rock sound has obviously left those in the media scratching their heads. Press reviews of the band have ultimately found it difficult to define the cauldron of music that The Fray stir up. Their exquisite, blues funk fuelled bass lines will undoubtedly leave you feeling equally dumbstruck.

3) The Texas based Felons were formed in 2006 and went into hiatus at the end of 2010. They released their only record 'At Sea' in 2009. The Felons recorded 'At Sea' at January Sound Studios with Brian Nesbitt producing, and Tye Robison engineering. They played many shows in Dallas and surrounding areas. Members included at various points in the bands' past: David Hickmott, Fred Holston, Jared Lawson, Adam Carter, Josh Warr, and Jason Cook. In March 2011 the bassist for the Felons, Adam Carter, passed away. His untimely death sealed the fate of the already struggling group, and they officially broke up soon after.
