Biography
The Flip Flays are 4 piece guitar Pop band from Brighton, UK. Formed in 2008 by James Petts (vocals, guitar), Mike Hawkins (guitar, vocals) Dan Somers (bass, vocals) and Ben Thompson (drums, vocals),
Their debut EP was titled Beach Funk (January 2011) and was co-produced by the band, along with Paul Winstanley (Blackwookie).
Drummer Ben Thompson was later hired by Two Door Cinema Club as part of their live band. His replacement in The Flip Flays was David Stewart, who features on the double A-side release High Definition/I Don't Wanna Wake Up (November 2012)
Their next EP has a planned release date of May 2014 and will once again feature Ben Thomson on drums.
