Biography
The Forty Thieves are an eclectic folk four-piece hailing from Brisbane, Australia. The band consists of Josh Beattie, Jacob Clarke, Amela Duheric & Matt Malone. Their formation was one which occurred by chance, when four teenagers from different friend circles found themselves jamming in the early hours of the morning at a friend's party. Since March 2011, they've been writing and recording their own songs from uni studios to apartment bedrooms. Slowly but surely building up a reputation through their intimate performances and unusual mix of instruments, such as guitarrón (mexican), accordian and banjo. In terms of the future, the band is putting together an EP which will be out by March 2012. To hear more head to http://thefortythieves.bandcamp.com or http://soundcloud.com/thefortythieves.
