Biography
There are two bands with the name of The Freakouts, 1) The Freakouts from Olympia, WA; who played their first show in 2005 and 2) The Freakouts from Houston, TX; who formed in the Spring of 2011 and have been described as a The Runaways, The Stooges, Ramones and 80s style punk and new wave hybrid.
1)The Freakouts started in the 7th grade on a snowy day under the influence of a Cramps record Sam had. All three of them couldn't play their instruments but covered many Cramps songs and eventually learned. They played their first show at the What You Got? Fest in May of 2005. With band practice problems and different schedules, they were forced to find another bass player. Tom only played two shows with the Freakouts. They could only get shows in Olympia until September of 2006, when they set up a show at Hell's Kitchen with bands such as CB Militia, the Gnostics, and Toxic Peanuts. For that show, Danaca and Sam decided they wanted Troy Brunette in their band. They had seen him at other shows and decided he was the perfect fit. The Freakouts were a band until August 2008, when they all decided to go separate ways.

" Even though the band tries not to have a distinct sound, their influences with bands like The
Runaways, The Stooges and The Ramones shine through giving the listener an upbeat melodic dose of punky rock and roll. What comes through is a nice mix of 80s punk and new wave mixed with modern song writing and a look that is The Runaways meet 90s Degeneration" Come and Take It zine
