Young Australian rockers The Frets formed in late 2007 through their mutual love of hook-laden rock and roll. Having many wide and diverse influences, their music brings to mind the instrumental bravado and attitude of garage rock and roll and melodies that get stuck in your head.
The five piece have been honing their craft in Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Sydney and Melbourne, and have become a band whose live set is not to be missed. As a result, the boys have been gathering momentum in the local scene and have attracted the attention of international producers. International feedback has labelled the young rockers as gold with their raw sound and smooth song-writing ability.
Realising their love of 60’s rock and roll and more recent bands such as The Kooks and The Strokes, The Frets are ready to help bring back the glory of rock and roll. With such a promising future ahead of them it’s hard to dismiss the buzz and hype of this young up and coming band.
