Biography
The Hot Moonbeams were a Canadian college rock band formed in Langley, BC in 2009 by Daniel Edwards and David Kandal, along with brothers Nick Ubels and Tim Ubels.
In June 2010, the band released their first EP, The Hot Moonbeams Break Even. In November 2010, The Hot Moonbeams were semi-finalists in CITR's annual Shindig! battle of the bands competition.
The Hot Moonbeams' guitar-based music has been compared to that of Pavement, the Replacements and Guided by Voices.
In June 2012, the band released their final EP, Decepticorn, online.
