The hurricane lamps broke up in 2004, after releasing 5 critically acclaimed records and sharing stages with the likes of Swervedriver, Superchunk, Cinerama, and Versus. Singer/songwriter/guitarist Eric Tischler and bass player Greg Bennett eventually reunited in the Jet Age (who are, thus far, also critically acclaimed).
