The JT Blues Band, a high-energy blues/rock band based in Western New York, takes pride in their original music. However, that doesn’t stop them from featuring the music of British blues/rock legends, plus many traditional blues covers. This is definitely not your typical blues band!
The band currently released a new CD called "Blues from the Barn" which selling very well and getting plenty of internet radio air play. Some of the songs have made Top 10 and Top 100 lists. The JT Blues Band’s original CD, 21st Century Blues, is selling very well worldwide – in 20 countries so far! 21st Century Blues is a straight mix with no dubbing, extra fills, or studio magic. When you hear the band live, you experience exactly what you hear on their recordings.
All original songs get regular airplay on internet radio stations worldwide, where the band averages about 300 plays each month. The bands Internet Radio sites have generated many new fans from Europe and have received tour invites from the Netherlands, Germany, France, Switzerland, and the UK. A possible European tour is tentative.
JT, the band’s songwriter, is an experienced singer and guitarist. Drummer Rick Baker, the heartbeat of the band, also has many years of experience. Rick McDonald, lead vocalist, is a long-time actor with stage and television credits. Scott Freilich,(who replaced Joe Scrivo) is a member of the Buffalo Musicians Hall of Fame, is an upright bass player who unleashes plenty of talent in his bass rhythms. The band, are members of the Western New York Blues Society, performs throughout the region for their enthusiastic following, which grows whenever new audiences hear the JT Blues Band.

“Run Right Into The Blues” is an upbeat tune with a catchy chorus which revisits some of the icons of the blues – “I saw a Red House yonder, I swear the sky was crying; passed right by the crossroads, I saw Mr Johnson flying” – is quite a clever lyric, one of the best songs on the album.
