Biography
There are two bands that go by the name of The Jethros:
1. The Jethros are an American band based in Maine, New Hampshire and PA that began in the late 70's. They play instrumental cover songs based on "Outsider Music" influences such as The Shaggs and the Portsmouth Sinfonia. The songs are performed intentionally bad. Howard Stern was quoted saying "These guys are AWFUL". See Wiki Page - Outsider Music/Notable Performers: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Outsider_music

2. The Jethros are a New Bedford (MA USA) based band consisting of Homer Sapien Jethro (aka Rick Smith) on guitar, banjo, harp and vocal, and Professor Rufus Jethro (aka Tom Allen) on trombone sousaphone, bass and vocal. Their sound is a mixture of string band, New Orleans jazz band and klezmer. For more information, see http://www.myspace.com/thejethros/
