Weaving classic tones with new age sounds, the band's intention is to find resonance with the hedonistically self-indulgent time traveling philosopher in all of us, translating complex ebbing moods into musical compositions through subtle nuances and juxtapositions of aggressive distorted bass, reverberating guitar, punching drums, sweeping synth and gloriously raw vocal performance that only gets better live. Originally from Melbourne, Australia, Simon moved to LA from NYC in 2008. Initially disillusioned with the predominance of LA's 80's retro hair bands and after a brief stint in a 2-piece outfit he met Cindy, who had just quit a typically LA music project, and the songwriting chemical reaction was initiated. Several months of meticulous soul inspired songwriting ensued. The moulding of sounds and teasing out of the band's vibe continued late into the nights, while days were spent gathering the musical tools to generate the desired "tones". A plethora of guitars, amps and pickups were tried, bought and returned before the sound was deemed adequate. One day they realized they had a set of kickass original rollicking tunes and it was time to take their art to the world. Without a permanent drummer they played two successful gigs at Cranes and Three Clubs in Hollywood with an Italian metal drummer who was visiting LA for a couple of months. This saved the band hiring anyone while they tested their songs live. With excellent responses from those two shows they then started looking for a permanent drummer to bring the final piece to the band. A quick set of demos were made with very good friend Andy Clockwise, an extremely talented musician in his own right playing drums after just one rehearsal, and Nick Mayberry from Perry Farrell's band throwing in a couple ripping guitar solos and key riffs on the day of recording for a nice collaborative genesis for the band. The demos attracted a slew of drummers, including Jason who coincidentally had a practice space in the same building.
