Biography
1) The Lift recorded for Magnet Records in the UK in 1987. Their single 'United State' received much airplay on BBC Radio 1 that July and is characteristic of the mainstream power-pop of its time.
2) Lift was a '90s "truly-alternative-rock" band with Molly Bancroft (vocals, guitar), Simone Simonton (drums) and Julie Clark (bass). They released two LPs: Lifelike (1997) and Stellar (1996). 4) The Lift was a Turkish-German soft rock band with only one album released: Under the Moon (1992). Four years later the band emerged with a new sound and a brand new album sung in Turkish under the name Ünlü (www.last.fm/music/Ünlü).
