Biography
Greg Fitzpatrick (bass, vocals) Sebastian Agnello (keyboards) Hughie Leggat (guitar) John Richardson (guitar, vocals) Danny Taylor (drums) were teenagers when they formed The Lords Of London in 1966. They often played to their peers on weekends and were kept out of the bar circuit by their young ages.
Their desire was to be like their heroes, The Beatles or The Dave Clark Five, and Apex Records spotted this potential, signing the act for a series of singles.
They scored a Canadian hit with "Cornflakes And Ice Cream" in 1967 and became teen sensations when the song went #1 on CHUM radio stations across Canada. However, it and two more singles in 1968, failed to ignite the attention of Americans and as the members began maturing so did their musical interests causing the group to begin a quick evolution into progressive sounds and a new name…Nucleus. They recorded one album with Bob Horne replacing Agnello and had a moderate hit with the song "Communication" before the group dissintegrated.
Leggat, Taylor and Horne would go on to form A Foot In Coldwater in the early 1970's.
The original members of Lords Of London reunited in 1991 at a gathering of the audiophile society Canadian Wax Hounds in Toronto to discuss their careers and debut the never before seen "Cornflakes And Ice Cream" promotional video that had been thought long lost.
