The Lunatic is an American alternative rock band featuring Austin Cook, Jack Mergist, Krista Mergist and Martin Michalek.
Things really came together one fateful eve in the malt shop when Jack and Martin (previously using the names "Better Than Revolver", "The Space Gods" and "Milk") decided on their ultimate band name: The Lunatic. To celebrate, they went up to the observation deck on campus and watched the banding on Jupiter…EPIC!
On another fateful night, while playing the open mic night at Muse Music, they were approached by Jake, a rad guy and owner of Muse. Jake booked the Lunatic for their very first show and things have been going from there.
On February 23, 2010, The Lunatic released their first album titled "Maria and the Ivory Face"
