Love at the Bottom of the Sea

Very sad to hear of Susan's passing. My memory is getting a bit fuzzy but I think the first Magnetic Fields track I heard way back in the day was The Saddest Story Ever Told. I was instantly a fan. So many songs from those first two albums are still amongst my favourite tracks. Susan had such a soothing yet deeply melancholic sounding voice. The audible manifestation of a beautiful tragedy. Rest easy and thank you for sharing your gift with us, Susan.

Weirdly enough, just ten days after I posted this lyric, it was announced that Susan Anway had passed away. This song, one of my favourites by the band, was sung by her. Rest in peace, Susan.
