Biography
The Malheruex was an alternative rock/post-hardcore band from Los Angeles/San Gabriel Valley, California, United States.
When the foreordained band The Malheruex, was formed in the summer of 2006, no one knew what to expect of the band when they first met. With the exception of Omar (bass), Adrian (guitar), and Chris (guitar/vocals), it was the first time they had ever met Carlos (drums), and John (guitar/vocals). During their first practice, they all agreed that they wanted to make music which was different from any other form of music they had previously made. With that in mind they began to write their first song 'Stoves And Doors', which was created on the same day of their meeting. The music was different, and the lyrics represented a form of "awakening" in ourselves, and how we want to share that awakening with others.
In an age where kids from anywhere after the age of 12 are forming bands with the same recycled sound, it's refreshing to know that some people are still trying to keep the scene alive and make genuine, unfiltered, "cookie cutter" produced music. The Malheruex is a group of five guys trying to make their mark in the world one zip code at a time. After 3 long months, a bunch of money, and headaches, The Malheruex emerges with their new 4 song EP 'Nightmares,' produced by Jim Wirt (Jacks Mannequin, Incubus, The Rocket Summer, and many more) at YMA studios in Burbank, California.
