Am I the only one who think they've been shit since Hansell left? Remember seeing them in 2012 and it was fucking awful and I had no idea why at the time.

There had to be a band called The Men back in the 1960's, because there were many The bands (The Beatles, The Trashmen, The Band, etc.) back then. Perhaps that band called The Men back then were super obscure.

They're OK. They should refrain from singing, and they need to cut the long songs, they're not the best at doing any of those. When they're over driven they're entertaining, when they're clean they're boring. I read that they changed their style because they "toured the world and listened to different stuff", it's cool that they're artists and want to evolve, but their "development" made them lose and edge, as if they lost fangs and got little wings in exchange.

Agree. They also lost members of the band. I remember buying the self-released hand-glued version of Immaculada. That is still a classic to me. I don’t really listen to their full albums past Leave Home. Open Your Heart has its title song, and New Moon has “Electric”. I don’t know enough of the further albums to claim real bangers.

Perfect comment. They talk about “evolving”. They’re just dads now. When you’re a dad, you either go the butt rock route or the entry-level jazz route. They took the former.

This is one of the most generic band names of all-time and I gotta check them out!

Why don’t these guys just quit? They’re past their prime... they only ever got anywhere because they had an early scene behind them and then dropped it for some indie alt country garbage.

Say what you want about this band, but they sure as hell don't do the same thing twice.

From Leave Home to Tomorrow's Hits, the record lavel is still Sacred Bones, it's the same band, but the sound is complete different.

The new album is actually pretty good if you don’t listen to it for 7 months, forget what it sounds like and then relisten and imagine it’s a Replacements/Springsteen hybrid record.

Wait a minute, "Tomorrow's Hits" and "Leave Home" are the same band? I've just started listening to them and these are the first albums I've explored but since there are several bands with the same name I assumed they were different.

Tomorrow's Hits is just some pretty straight-forward rock n roll. I'm digging it a lot actually.

The new album is an enjoyable listen, especially tracks like Different Days and Sleepless.
