The Modern Society is an Atlanta, GA based group with a fresh, guitar driven alt pop / alt rock sound.
The band is made up of: woody brown - lead vocals, guitar; tyler bence-lead guitar, backing vocals; chris "boo boo" martin - bass guitar, backing vocals; thomas carter-
drums.
The band sites as influences: Television, Phantom Planet, Jump Little Children, The Cure, The Rolling Stones, Dinosaur Jr., The Format, Supergrass, The Police, Coldplay, Interpol, Ryan Adams, Counting Crows, Regina Spektor, The Cars, Tom Petty.
The Modern Society self-released its first album, "Friends & Enemies", in 2006.
