Biography
The Nexus 3 (or simply Nexus 3 as they decided to call themselves later) are a trio of musicians and DJs from London producing uplifting trance. Their sound is a combination of elements of modern and older trance styles, characterised by deep acid effects and harmony-rich breakdowns.
Custard (a.k.a Paul Mayes) is a rock drummer (previously in bands like Lowgold and Lemonade Hand Grenade) who is currently a resident DJ at the london party 'Planet Angel'.
Danalogue is a keyboard player and composer from London with a previous release (Fluoromotion) on the Magic Beans trance label in 2003.
Tequila Slammer is a long-time resident DJ at Planet Angel and has previously had two trance releases under Magic Beans (Vowel Movement and a remix of Sly One's 'Gamma Storm').
In 2011 they collaborated on a track, 'State of Wonder', for a mix CD of unreleased music on the Discover Records. They were picked up by the label and given a full release, along with the B-side, 'Last Flight', and a rework of 'Last Flight' by Activa. It turned out to be the first Discover release of 2012.
