V There's a difference between rip-off and influence.

I came to point out how I hear the obvious Springsteen influence. Guess I sound like a 13 year old who needs to grow up. Oh well.

Sorry, but the rip off excuse just doesn't work anymore, no bands have no influence, and I'm getting tired of "so and so sounds likes so and so, they're copying". It's the kind of stuff 13 year olds who have just got into music say, grow up :) [2] @blainethebassis: Not everything has to be technical and 'groundbreaking' to be good. The man does what he likes, and if it's writing a simple tune with simple lyrics, then so be it.

Not a bad guy to be ripping off. I hear more Woody Guthrie and Bruce Springsteen influence than Dylan though.

Yeah, it's nice, but there are too many moments when it's overmuch obvious that The Nighwatchman is but a Bob Dylan rip-off.

Horrible band. Horrible lyrics. Lame changes. Overly simplistic song structure. What happened Tom? You used to be my favorite guitarist. WTF? Was it the other band members in Rage and audioslave that were brilliant and not you? I'm so dissappointed.

He is a wizard on that electric guitar though.

Actually, I happen to concur partially with Gohel. I like his electric stuff; some but not all. But he's a superior singer-songwriter. There's just emotions that he can convey as the acoustic Nightwatchman that RATM or SSSC can't. And the lyricism has its own unique tone to both aforementioned acts as well; emotionally especially.
