Biography
The Nofairs met in December 2003 in crowded, cold Victoria Station. N was shooting a short movie, Peter was coming home from his family's late Christmas gathering. Having just been ditched by her lead actor, she asked him to take the role.
On New Year's Eve 2003 they played their first song together in a dirty hostel kitchen. Despite living thousands of miles apart (N moved to Chicago, IL; Peter stayed in London) they continued to influence each other musically as they each pursued separate projects. Between them they played bustling festivals and empty bars, backrooms and stages. In late 2008, they reunited in a flat in New Cross to shape a more serious, intimate sound and self-recorded a series of songs that became the demo, 'Cities and Closed Doors'. They are a two piece band, using guitars, synthesisers and drum machines.
As of Spring 2009 they are aiming to gig regularly, accept bookings and seek representation.
