Biography
The Northern Lies, hailing from Tromsø in Northern Norway, bring quirky, playful and intimate country balladry and rollicking folk pop songs. Their debut album "Midnight Medicine" was released in 2013 to grand reviews from the Norwegian press.
The band consists of lead singer/guitarist Henry Johnsen, Anne Nymo Trulsen on vocals, piano, organ and ukulele and Håvard Stangnes playing guitars, mandolin, steel guitar and harmonica.
The trio deliver boisterous and heartfelt songs filled with lazy-day energy, haunting heartbreak and nighthawk poetry. The Northern Lies celebrate the entrepreneurs of rock, folk and country fusion in a thorough and truthful manner, balancing the scales with wit, charm and good songwriting craftsmanship.
