Biography

Born and bred in Western New York, the members of The Odd Times met in a sort of happen-stance manor. Ben Cain (lead vocals, rhythm guitar) was 16 years old and playing local acoustic shows while writing and developing a solo record. Rudy Schieder (bass), Jeff Crawford (drums), and Brendan O'Shea (lead guitar, keyboard) were in the process of starting a new project after their first project, Larrabe, came to an end. Paths were crossed when Ben was playing a solo show in downtown Buffalo and Rudy and Jeff were unknowing spectators. After the show, the three met and by the end of the night, they were already in talks to start a new band. Things moved pretty quickly after that night, with the band forming and composing five songs in less than a month.

They released their first single, "In A Knot", in spring of 2013 to critical success and a growing fanbase. A year later, they put out their second single, "Heart Attack", which was met with even more success, including Sirius XM radio play, international release, opening slots for bands such as Bad Suns, and a successful remix that also was featured on Sirius XM. Currently, they are working on writing their first full-length record, intended for release in late 2015.
