Biography
The Once and Future King are a drone/noise band from Peterborough, England made up of Chris Majewicz and Ben Mather.
The band use guitars, cello, cymbals and various pedals to get the base of their sound, but add to it using distorted samples, home-made instruments, broken televisions, field recordings and other things to add more layers to it.
After recording a series of experiments under the name Yeltsin (dronebacker, borisbacker and noisebacker), the band recorded an EP of Guinea Pig film inspired noise (Flowers of Flesh and Blood), a full length built around a single chord (E) and a collaboration with up and coming noise artist Daniel Clough (Coil).
The band are currently recording an as-yet-unnamed EP.
