With driving electric guitars, hints of gothic rock, and 80's influenced melodies, The River Knows, is one Norwegian-based band to watch out for this year.
Mexican metal vocalist, Priscila Serrano (The End of Faith) and Norwegian guitarist and producer Tommy Olsson (Elusive, ex-Theatre of Tragedy) started virtual jamming after a chance meeting.
The collaboration quickly turned into completed songs at which point Priscila and Tommy figured it was time to give the project a name and extend the line-up. They welcomed Kenneth Olsson (ex-Tristania) on drums, Bjarte Langeland (New Breed) on bass and Frank Claussen (Theatre of Tragedy) on guitar into the band.
The River Knows played their debut concert on May 19 2012, at Fabrikken in Tau, Norway, presenting their first EP, entitled The Ruins They Become.
The Band is currently working on their first full-length album.
