There are 2 bands called The Rye
1. The Rye were an Indie Rock band from the North-East of England, featuring the violin playing of Emma Fisk and thought provoking lyrics of Billy Nicholson. They released 5 cd's of eclectic, organic sounding rock music before disbanding in the late 90's.
2. The Rye are an extraordinary five-piece from the West Coast of Ireland. "No one embodies the spirit of Jerry Garcia quite like the Rye, my new favorite band, frantic fiddling against a stomping beat and wicked acoustic licks."
