Gauntanamera has been deeply woven into my being as a music lover for over 20 years and I only heard the song for the first time yesterday. Back in the 90s in Australia, we had an ad on the TV for a "Rodeo" pick up truck, or ute as well call 'em here. "One tonne Rodeo" was set to the tune of Gauntanamera. I've been humming it and singing it randomly ever since. Yesterday I watched an interview with an extra in a Bruce Lee movie, said Bruce used to ask him to play Gauntanamera over and over on his guitar in between takes so I checked out the song. I instantly recognised the tune of course and here we are. Funny how life works, sometimes.
