The Sensational Epics were a 60's soul band that recorded on Cameo, Warner Brothers and Capitol Records. They are still performing today with most of the original members. They are from Columbia, South Carolina and currently record for Ripete Records. They are a 9 piece show and party band who has enjoyed success for over 5 decades!!! Famous for their horns, they also feature a great lead singer and a fantastic rhythm section!!! Members
include Mike Tronco(lead vocalist), Bill deLoach(keyboard), Tom Graham(drums), Jim Anderson(guitar-deceased), Gene Lee(trumpet & vocals), Buster Elrod(trumpet & vocals), Rick Richardson(sax & vocals), Larry Clark(sax & vocals), Fred Perry(sax & vocals), Jim Brazelle(bari sax & vocals-deceased). Other later members were Mike Clark(keyboards), Phil Frazer(keyboards), Jay Collier(trumpet), Jim Davis(guitar), Andy Shull(guitar & trumpet), David Erwin(guitar) Jim Chappell(drums and vocals), Ken Campbell(drums-deceased). Recordings were "I've Been Hurt(Cameo) b/w "It's A Gass", "You Warp My Mind"(Warner Brothers) b/w "Be Young, Be Foolish, Be Happy(original version), "All My Hard Times" (Capitol) b/w "Play It By Ear". Ripete releases consist of "Give The Girl A Kiss",
"I Believe In You And Me", "Slightly Gray Shagger"(written by Rick Richardson), "Have You Ever Had The Blues", "Can I Change My Mind", "Breezy"(co-written by Mike Tronco), "Ask The Lonely","Drinkin My Baby Goodbye"(written by Gene Lee), "If You Don't Come Back", "I'm In Love", "He Will Break Your Heart", "Doin The James Brown", "Sho Know A Lot About Love", "Tore Up", "Any Other Way", "I Want A Love I Can See", "Amen", "New Breed" and "Freedom Trilogy" a tune recorded as a tribute to the victims of the 9/11 tragedy!
