The Septembers are an Indie band from Auckland, New Zealand. Since forming in 2007, The Septembers have built a reputation as an electrifying live band, playing their own kind of romantic rock’n’roll.

Taking their sonic influences from bands such as Wilco and Radiohead, The Septembers veer from searing acoustic heartbreakers to stomping power-pop - sometimes within the space of the same song…

Ever since they met in an Auckland bar, there’s been an artistic chemistry, between (singer/songwriter) Anthony Stretch and (guitar-slinger) Sean Harvey. Stretch’s songs unveil a deeply personal world that’s taken to the
wide-screen by the kinetic invention of Andrew Price (on drums) and Zaria Yusoff (on perfectly placed electric bass).

After releasing an EP followed by national tours and strong airplay, their songwriting brought them to the attention of UK producer, Rico Petrillo. Pertillo has an international reputation as both a musician and producer, who has worked with The Verve, Blur, Kasabian and Supergrass amongst many others… After meeting and sitting in with the band at their rehearsal room, Pertillo had heard enough promise to pick The Septembers for production of their album.

Released in March 2009, “Edge Of The World” has captured the sound of The Septembers with that elusive combination of the wild and precise…
