Biography
Initiated by the Italian producer Enrico Blumer, The Skopje Connection is a trio featuring exceptional musicians from different cultures and backgrounds. Together they create new music, filled with powerful emotions and pure musicianship.
Amam, the new album by The Skopje Connection, a trio featuring Luca Aquino, Dzijan Emin and Georgi Sareski, is released for Enrico Blumer Production in April, 2009.
It was recorded in Skopje, Macedonia, at the Cifte Amam, a Turkish hammam from the XV century, located in the ancient part of the city. This particular hammam boasts beautiful acoustics and an incredible natural reverb, which compliment the 13 tranquil, yet powerful compositions and improvisations on the album.
Recorded by Bojan Ugrinovski and produced by Enrico Blumer, Amam is more than just a creative collaboration between Macedonian and Italian artists. The highly emotional songs, sophisticated sound, fantastic interplay and dream like ambience, are just few of the characteristics that make this album a one-of-a-kind listening experience. The Skopje Connection features Luca Aquino on trumpet and flugelhorn, Dzijan Emin on French horn and melodica, and Georgi Sareski on acoustic guitar.
Their new album contains music that deeply resonates with the human soul.
