Biography
The Rogue of electronic dance music, Supreme Action League absorbs pop, nu disco, house, funk and hip-hop influences and morphs them into energetically danceable music. One part superhero, and two parts “I don’t give a funk,” the title of Supreme Action League’s debut release Capes, Mullets and Moustaches represents the quixotic foundation of this electronic artists’ collective. Fearless optimism and experimentation are prevalent in the band’s shape-shifting sound. SAL’s single, “It’s Up to Us” says it best. “This is the time we need more love in the world…It’s up to us, isn’t it obvious? This is a forward thrust. Leavin’ hate in the dust.”
Supreme Action League is a product of Denver’s burgeoning EDM scene. Founded by writer/ producer Cody Wille (Signal Path, Electric Skychurch), the band of self-proclaimed “intergalactic cyber monks with spunk” is rounded out by vocalist / percussionist Anthony Fugate, and MC/ hypeman Marc Brawley. Fugate, a master of computer animation, also brings a quirky and alluring video element to the band’s mixed bag of super powers, producing videos for singles like “Disco Thunder” and a full visual experience at Supreme Action League’s live shows.
“Capes, Mullets and Moustaches brings a fresh new take on dance music, fusing foot-tapping disco beats, funky shoulder-shaking basslines and irresistibly catchy vocals into a easy to listen but hard to classify 10-track LP.” Velcro City Records
