Biography
There are at least four different bands called The Trend.
1. American punk band formed in 1979, that at one point included actor/comedians Tom Kenny and Bobcat Goldthwait. The Trend hailed from Syracuse, NY, and made some worthwhile punk rock, which included the Electric Chair/Band Aid 7'' and the long album "Batman Live At Budokon".
2. The Trend were an English band of the mid-1960s, formed by Peter and Michael Giles (later in King Crimson), Allan Azern (piano) and Mike Blakesley (trombone). Previously known as Trendsetters Limited, and later as The Brain. They released just one single: 'Boyfriends and Girlfriends' b/w 'Shot on Sight' (1966).
3. A power-pop band from Kennett, MO that formed in 1979, and released one single in 1981 "Lucky Day" b/w "She's Hi Fi" on KSS Records, and released an album in 1982 on Garden Records titled THE TREND IS IN! Their songs appear on power pop compilations such as Yellow Pills and International Pop Overthrow.

4. A 4 piece emo-punk band from Conneaut, OH. Released "Anything Familiar" in 2006.
