Biography
Heathen black metal outfit Ashes was formed in England, 2003 by Davidian. After the first demo 'Forest Funeral' was well received in the underground, Ashes signed to English label Supernal music, where Davidian released 'Hymns to a Grey Sky', 'Yggdrasil' and the first two demos, re-packaged with new artwork, by Rebecca Clegg (Xasthur, Nachtmystium).
In 2009, Ashes released 'Runeworks', a piercing blast of old school black metal on Wolf's Hook Records.
In 2010, Ashes did something unprecedented in the world of Black metal - Davidian quit the band, and handed it over to Abrecan, who was at the helm for a short while, recording the "Forest Psalms E.P.", which was released by Death To Music Productions as a free download from their site. Abrecan quit shortly after.
Davidian re-joined the band in 2011, and is currently writing new material
