There are at least two bands called The Union.

1. An English rock band formed in 2009 as a Union of Peter Shoulder (Winterville) & Luke Morley (Thunder). They have released a self titled debut album and in December 2010, a single (This Time Next Year) in support of Childline.The Union were voted the best new band 2010 in the Classic Rock Roll Of Honour awards. Their second album, Siren's Song was released in Sept/Oct 2011 and contained some of the bands most-loved live tracks such as the title track and the brilliant Obsession. February 2013 sees the release of the band's third album, 'The World is Yours'.
2. The Union began life in 1965 as the Arthur Brown-fronted Arthur Brown Union. When he left for Paris, a reconfigured line-up carried on. Based around guitarist Paul Brett, alto playerTony Priestland, drummer Jim Toomey,organist Art Regis and bassist Roy Stacey (the latter two went on the be in Jimmy James & The Vagabonds) plus new recruit Dave Terry on vocals, they recorded an enthusiastic version of Don Cobay's 'See-Saw' at Tony Pike's Studio in Putney, paid for by Brett's father, Frank. When The Union ended, Brett went to Paris and rejoined Arthur Brown in the Arthur Brown Set while Dave Terry became better known as Elmer Gantry in Elmer Gantry's Velvet Opera.
