Biography

The Voldera Cult was formed under its present name in 2009 at Athens, Greece.

After a strong local presence, The Voldera Cult shared the stage with bands like Converge, The Chariot, Poison the Well, Walls of Jericho, The Secret, Architects, Burst, Heaven Shall Burn, Maroon, Parkway Drive, Defeater, Red Chord, Comeback Kid, I am Ghost and many more.

The band quickly forged its own and unique style, which was influenced from their individual and diverse influences ranging from the Depeche Mode, Alice in Chains, Pink Floyd and Radiohead to King Crimson, Black Sabbath and Entombed. The result is a dark, tortured and chilling musical aesthetic, giving birth to the 1st full length album "Goliath" which will be released during 2013.

The album deals with the story of "David and Goliath" from the view point of Goliath. Goliath becomes a tragic figure, a scapegoat, that is sacrificed to serve God's plans. As a result, the story following Goliath's fall is retold in the album from the view point of the defeated and the victims.
