Great review and photos, it sounds like you had such a wonderful experience. I'm reeling with jealousy over it! I'm counting down the days until I can see her perform live again in May, but even then, she's only the opening act. Better than nothing, though!

Something about Canadian singer-songwriters just does it for my midwestern heart

How Is It That I Should Look At The Stars is AOTY worthy. she delivered! this collection of ballads might seem languid and ''bland'' on 1st listen due to lack of drums, hook or melodies but there is something resonant with it where playing one song results in you playing the entire record! i feels compatible to ''ignorance'' but no as a bunch of B-sides/leftovers. this album stands effectively on it's own with it's meditative bliss.

Yes! Get that BNM. 9.0. So obsessed with the subtle, understated vocal melodies in Robber and Atlantic, alluding to something illicit.

spent all day looking for this artist going off a few words from "Came So Easy"... so glad I've rediscovered them.

Her free form vocal melodies are reminiscent of Joni Mitchell and Tori Amos. The 'Weather Station' album is splendid (and consistent all through).

This is an amazing gem that I never thought I'd run into. It is like Joni Mitchell meets Nick Drake. But I think I am more impressed with this than Mitchell even frankly.

Ditto...with all these posts : ) The music is so deep and with so many subtle textures...reminds me of Joni Mitchell

Sometimes these things boggle my little, goopy mindbrain . The Weather Station, there ARE people listening to your music out here in the world - namely because it is exquisite. Please continue as you were.
