Biography
The Wellington Papers are a band from New York City. Their eclectic and often genre-bending sound is the natural result of growing up in a place as diverse and dynamic as Gotham. Veterans of the city’s various high and low social and cultural scenes, the Papers spin tales of late night adventure, loves won and lost, and the restless energy of the city after dark.
The Papers’ revolving lineup features hip hop producers, blues screamers, film composers, punk fanatics, classically trained musicians, metalheads, jazz cats and a handful of wicked drummers with a Latin jazz pedigree.
It’s a collective that absorbs and reflects the electrifying cultural clashups that define life in New York City.
