Biography
While, generally, The Wick describes their musical genre as Rock/Soul. A more accurate description may be Provoc-Rock. Lyrically, the subject matter of their songs range from social struggles like addiction and suicide to love and sex. The Wick provokes provocatively, seducing with catch-phrases, penetrating rhythm and melodic hooks.
Based out of Chicago, IL, The Wick was established in November of 2010, when they flew to Dallas, TX to record their debut album, "The Wick on Wax". The Album will be released in late Spring of 2011.
In Chicago they have played Double Door, Martyrs' and Reggie's, to name a few. The Wick seeks to spark the next Great Chicago Fire, in the form of music. From their point-of-veiw, fans are carosene. Spread the fire and GET LIT!
