The Womb is a band formed in 1998 by English musician Alan Driscoll, currently based in Melbourne, Australia.

Canada:
In addition to what is mentioned above, there is another band called The Womb from Toronto, Ontario, Canada, who play a blend of metal that incorporates progessive, thrash, punk, and sludge type riffs (just to name a few).
The Womb formed in early 2006 and have released 2 albums so far, a self-titled in 2007 & their most recent 2009 release This is the Doomlodge. Songs like "Finding Light", "Arrival", "One with Nature", "Ravaged Wrist Slapback," & "Your House Exploded" belong to this band.
