The Woodwork is an indie rock band with its roots under Tampa Fl. After high school, they climbed in our van and forgot the real world ever existed.
The Woodwork criss-crossed the eastern United States, playing music with bands like The Academy Is, Farewell, The Higher, All Time Low, Forever The Sickest Kids, The Rise Of Science, We The Kings, The Cab, In Passing, The Morning Of, Undwed Sailor, Amity, Love and Reverie, Select Start, Vega Underfire, etc.
In the spring of 2008, the band recorded a 6 song ep, titled "Tangled In Chords", produced by Jeremy Griffith. The record was tracked & mixed at Glow In The Dark Studios (Copeland, UnderOath, Mouse Fire, Junior Doctor). Upon mastering, it was pressed by our friends under the label Roundkid Records.
One day, they pulled there heads out of the clouds and realized that, as people, had fallen into a financial nightmare. Laid off from there day jobs, evicted from there apartment, on the run from creditors, and in turn, suffering several crippling line up changes, the band had came to a fork in the road in there lives as musicians.
So after very little thought and planning, they have began packing there lives in there van, to travel across the country, to Los Angeles California. There plan is to play music, and write a new record with and old friend and bandmate.
The Woodwork will be digitally releasing an Ep consisting of 3 acoustic based recordings, tracked this summer, September 5th, 2009. It's titled "WE WANT TO BE LOUD AGAIN", and it will be available for a limited time, free of charge.
