These guys should be REALLY BIG! They're Great! I think people who are into Yo La Tengo would love these guys.

Freshman Thesis played a couple times on the local alternative station back in '05, and then they kinda disappeared. Sad, they really deserved more attention.

There was a full bonus disc of Book of Bad Breaks demos when it was originally released. Kind of neat.

Dee has stated recently that unfortunately, Thee More Shallows is not currently recording any new material or planning on it in the near future, though it may not be completely ruled out. We can hope. For now, there are a few demos out there from the "Book of Bad Breaks" sessions and a session on BBC 1. Also Dee Kesler and Chad Bidwell's project "Fops" has released "Yeth Yeth Yeth" and will be releasing a second album later this year. It is not TMS, but I will gladly take what I can get!

Every time I hear them they just get better and better. The stuff I once raised an eyebrow at in uncertainty, I eventually fall in love with. Here's hoping TMS sees the light of day.

I just found out they put out this The Wire's cover sometime last year on some kind of "art" compilation. Here is the link to the song, it's called On Returning: http://prismindex.com/audio/on_returning.mp3

I was listening to a friends last.fm station the other night at his house, and something came on that reminded me of Thee More Shallows. Something in the vein of Passion Pit, but I don't remember what it was.... any help would be appreciated

Anyone have suggestions for similar music to the second half of More Deep Cuts? I can't say I liked the first half very much at all, but Cloisterphobia onward completely owns.
