There are three main This Mortal Coil albums - It'll End in Tears, Blood, and Filigree and Shadow. There's compilation of non-album tracks, "Dust and Guitars." Otherwise, that's pretty much it. There's also a one-off album by the Hope Blister - this was Ivo, the main guy behind This Mortal Coil, but he just worked with one vocalist, more minimalist arrangements. I'd consider that an "unofficial" fourth This Mortal Coil album. It features a cover of Slowdive's "Dagger" which is alone worth the price of admission.

That would be something. Sadly, although Ivo is very much still alive (he's lived in New Mexico since the '00s), the long and short of it is that he got burnt out running 4ad Records for 20 years, and for all intents and purposes, is retired. I'd love nothing better than for him to come out of retirement and put together some successor to This Mortal Coil - preferably by that name. (He did a one off as the Hope Blister in the late '90s, which was great too. But I'd prefer a return of This Mortal Coil.)

You never can tell! That's the trouble. I keep running into newbies in forums like this, and I keep getting reminded that especially for that new generation of music fans getting into shoegaze or dream pop, that they don't really know much about bands that had careers that were done before they were even born.
