Thomas Lanning Moore (December 6, 1943 - March 17, 2018 ) was an American singer-songwriter and guitarist.
Born in California, he mainly played traditional Irish music, and has written songs such as "Carolina Rua", "Prayer for Love", "Cavan Girl", "The Scholar", and "Saw You Running". During the 1970s he founded the folk rock bands Pumpkinhead and Midnight Well.
In addition to California, he has lived in Ethiopa, Lebanon, and in Ireland.
