Biography

Thom wrote this song back in 1985 after visiting his wife’s Daddy that lived in Louisiana down on the bayou, the last verse in this song goes “don’t you go down on the bayou at night the gators are mean and the snakes they bite if your not home by time the son go-in down bet you in the morning you won’t be found” Thom will tell you this is a true story, every time his wife a real good looker would walk by some of them Cajun French speaking guys Thom would hear (looks so good) “fa's,' say say'bonn” I know I’m not spelling that right but you get the message. Thom's a song writer before being a vocalist, Thom went into the recording studio fully expecting someone else would be doing the vocals but the producer like the way Thom delivered the song along with Papa John Creach'es fames fiddle playing every thing came out just the way it was meant to be " I really liked it when someone would pull up along side me at a stop light and I could hear my song playing on there radio" Thom's paid his dues this just didn't happen over night Thom worked small local clubs and concerts in the parking lots of shopping centers in and around California for over 30 years. Hosted two radio shows in Hollywood and a cable TV entertainment show but before all that in his younger days there was surfer music, then came the rock and roll and in the 80's Thom got into country and now Thom has found his real grove in the Blues Harmonica playing clubs up and down the west cost now Thom's back home in Indiana were he first picked up a guitar at the age of 13 and now and thin playing in some of the local clubs and country festivals. Thom doesn't talk much about his entertainment experiences while living in Calif. As he says "the Hickerbillys around here are crazier thin them there Cajun’s", Thom doesn't talk about the two radio shows the cable TV show that he's produced or all the movies and TV shows he has had bit parts in or the two major TV movie made for's about events in his life, "they just wouldn't’ understand" Thom says, mostly people that really new about my life and TV and movie experiences say "what in the world are you doing back here" as if Thom should stay out in Hollywood with all the bling bling and glamor, Thom says "I never had expectations of grandeur I just wanted to have fun" basically he's not the type to brag anyway it’s the memories that is most important to Thom. "I hoping someone or a band/group/producer will take my song and others that I have written over the years and make it there own", so enjoy and contact me if you Want to discus a deal if you like Thom's vocal Thom can do that even now as a more seasoned vocalist, Just not down on the Bayou thank you.
