such a precious band. 'cinematic' is the word i would pick to describe them in their purest form. the rusty voice of dustin is a blessing, second only to his growling screams. they are pitch-perfect live too-- what more could one ask for?

My favorite artist. I really like the songs, the albums, truly the best Rock band. But most likely the best singer.

i just listened to it yesterday on my bike ride, really enjoyed it. really shows how well those songs aged too; probably one of their best albums ever. the more modern interpretations are excellent, amazing how they can still manage to keep that same energy after changing their style so much over the years.

I like it when people talk about the context of listening to music. Yes, it was a joy to hear this rerecording!

super cool to hear them completely re-record the album, where a lot of their contemporaries are releasing 10-20 year anniversary editions as simply a *Re-mixed and Re-mastered* version. This new version definitely holds the same energy, and Dustin's newer vocals actually lend to the production where I thought they might stick out like a sore thumb. Even his screams on Paper Tigers are fantastic! The rest of the band sounds super tight too - not that I would expect much else, they are a well oiled machine at this point.

You know when you have an artist you really like but you sleep on their old shit (I usually don't). Well The Illusion Of Safety is one of them I've just stuck on and can safely say I'm loving it!

"Stare at The Sun" very similar to "The World Is Mine" by Hooverphonic. Both songs are good!

saw them live once. they played "y'all motherfuckers need jesus" 15 times in a row. after the fourth time the crowd started booing but dustin got more insistent that this was what we wanted to hear. called us all a bag of crusty little punks who dunno what music all about. overall 10/10 they ended with deadbolt

I didn't think I would like the new album as much as I do, but it's a clear 10/10 for me. There is nothing I don't like in it.

now heres an example of a band that completely sold out and went the wrong way. all of those vans sponsors must have really got in the way of those cool riffs and spectacular tropes they used to string together in their beginning. damn shame they turned into what they did. at least Thursday remained a hardcore band.

Just because other's opinions don't match yours does not mean it's "low level trolling", seriously just what the fuck. You think the world spins around your fucking opinion only? You need a reality check.

Theres opinions and theres trolling. "A band that completely sold out" is not a statement that wants to encourage discussion but simple provocation. Fair to say thats trolling.

Stay with Me is the band's strongest effort at trying to get a song in the background of an ESPN uplifting against-the-odds montage
